PitBull Vibes did not start with a market report, a trend or a product idea. It started with a very small, very exhausted puppy in the street.
Her name is Nikita. She is sixteen now.
The day I found her
I was between houses and loading a truck with my things when I saw a puppy wandering outside. She was tiny enough that I could pick her up with one hand, and she looked completely exhausted.
I never knew where she had come from. At the time I wondered if she had escaped from somewhere nearby, because she looked as if she had been running for a long time. What I knew for certain was that she needed water and somewhere safe.
I showed her to my girlfriend at the time. We gave her water. She was so tired that when she tried to settle on the floor, all four little legs seemed to slide apart underneath her.
I took her to my parents’ house so she could rest while I finished moving everything to the new place.
That was it. I was already in love with her.
One dog becomes sixteen years of life
When people talk about getting a dog, the story often focuses on the beginning: the adoption, the puppy phase, the first photo. What is harder to explain is what happens when that dog stays beside you through chapter after chapter.
Homes change. Relationships change. Work changes. You change. The dog becomes part of the background of all of it—not unimportant background, but the constant piece that appears in every version of your life.
After enough years, saying “my dog” starts to feel too small. Nikita is family. She is part of how I remember time.
She also changed what “pit bull” meant to me
Pit bulls often arrive in conversation with a reputation already attached. People who have never lived with one can have a strong picture in their head.
My picture is different because my reference point is not a headline. It is sixteen years with Nikita.
It is loyalty. It is affection. It is stubbornness. It is ridiculous moments in the house. It is a dog who can look strong and still be unbelievably gentle. It is the specific expression on a face you have seen thousands of times and would recognize anywhere.
Why that became a store
Eventually I wanted to make designs that felt like the side of pit bulls I actually knew. Not generic “tough dog” merchandise. Not a stock image with a breed name under it. Designs built from the jokes, energy and affection pit bull people recognize immediately.
That is where PitBull Vibes comes from.
Some designs are ridiculous because living with these dogs can be ridiculous. Some are about strength. Some are soft. Some are pure inside jokes. The common idea is that the dog is more than the stereotype.
Sixteen years is a privilege
When a dog reaches this age, ordinary moments start to feel different. You notice the quiet things. You appreciate the routines. You understand that a relationship measured in years is really measured in thousands of small days.
